it was busy since we got back from bangkok, rushing out hotel brochure project for my company but it was easy peasy compared to those we did in school. heehee. :D i dont mind going on hoidays and doing up projects for the rest of the 4 months! will gladly do that. we took 300 over pictures, so shall just highlight a few ones (memorable ones!) hahaha.

day1!
our flight was very early in the morning but we were more excited than anything! our driver waited for us at the airport, so stuffed our luggages and headed to hotel! we stayed at courtyard by marriott, very colourful youthful hotel. location was right inside the lanes but overall a ten mins walk to either train station so wasnt that bad. besides, cabbing in bangkok is super cheap ! (:
the general mgr of hotel came to greet us, like some VIP haha! then we had lunch with some senior a/c mgr and director of sales of marriott! they ordered so much food, all the appetizers, each of us a main course then still dessert! we eat until cant walk... hahahaha. now, i know UCCD is impt when u meet ppl from a diff culture, you have to behave differently! at night, we went to patpong for some good fun then suan lum night bazaar to shop (like a giant pasar malam + bugis street + open till very late!) we bought so much stuff, clothes, heels, bags! june even got a new home for her doggy. everything was cheap deals. foot massage is abt $12 for an hour!

( bkk day 1! )

hellloooo, i'm in bangkok now yes enjoying my well-deserved break. we inspected over 20 hotels, very tiring job besides the weather was so so so hot, 39 degrees, no kidding! i'll blog abt the itinerary when i'm back in singapore! miss home very badly actually. first time, i am actually looking forward to come home. i realised many things as well.

1. my boss is actually really cute & fun ! (he loves sweeeet stuff! & ocasionally behaves like a kid)
2. bangkok is safe! i wandered around myself looking for a good spa and made my way back to the hotel at 8plus at night.
3. bangkok is one very very sleazyyy place.
4. we have impeccable shopping skills.
5. the upcoming new hotels are mostly suitable for honeymooners! (the rooms all have a open bathroom concept. which means ppl in the room can see you bath and shit and ....)
6. the traffic lights here start couting down from 146 seconds.
7. crossing the roads is a skill.

ok, i'll continue tmr with pictures! (:
7hrs moreeeee.

now, we are starting to get work to do, still basically reading up on hotels and destinations but also running small errands for our senior mentors! like tearing invoices, photocopying stuf. hey, at least u feel abit more useful in the office. have been meeting up with val, gwen and jul for lunch this week. they make lunchtime so much more enjoyable! like seeing someone familiar is very very heartwarming! esp during work now. but i hope things are starting to look out better.

the day we acted like tourists & went down to see mr merlion & singapore river! ;D

yay! all-expenses paid trip to bkk next week.
sooooo excited. (:

hee! finally collated the quite long ago photos! val's bd not even up yet, almost coming 2 mths! HAHA. ;D the picnic was a success plus it was lovely weather, lovely company, lovely food. it was a cook and bring your own food picnic, so we literally have to prepare our yumyums. jerine did sandwiches, i did pasta salad and the lazy cow was logistic so she bought the other stuff. heehee. ;D well, the same normal girls stuff like taking lotsa pictures, snacking and enjoying the breeze.

we also learnt more about each other, who knew val's comfort food was banana muffins? & jerine dont have a normal comfort food. hahaha, we talked about flowers, dream houses, prince charming(yes, its normal!) ... it was great and refreshing, went by the beach and saw this really interesting hardened fish! kinda gross, but its eyes are still jelly-soft. so gross. then everyone started to be fascinated over it! hahaha. ;D

met up with some cs peeps to celebrate kelvin's birthday. it was at this affordable sushi place, 99cents per plate(it was on the house eventually! hee hee :D). it was really crowded, like super long queue outside. the chocolate mochi was pretty interesting! but v creamy though. fatteningggg. :( kelvin brought absolute peach so we had a mini drinking session and some catching up. poor cy shouldnt have drank on empty stomach. supposed to meet the girls for clubbing but apparently no free entry, so rot for 2 hours plus before catching taken. it was really kinda scary. like my mummy tell us not to travel alone, and take care of urself. it applies in this movie. females are so vulnerable, now i am so scared to go home alone at night already! luckily we live in singapore, not so much of a worry. ;/ i hope.

.

the very enjoyable 3day amadeus course ended, then sat we have to go back to the office to listen to our very boring boss' 2-3 hr talking session with him staring in the blank space and repeating the same points again and again. the course was at parkview square, the super tall luxurious prestigious brown building opp raffle hospital with lots of statue. it was gorgeous the place but we cant be like idiots snapping away, there were so many security personnels as well. we could facebook, msn, shop online, blog and the instructor didnt really bother, the best thing was behind us was like the snacks table. biscuits, sweets and hot drinks. it was like a party everday. (: last day, we had polar refreshments as well. then we realised the cost of this training is$100 per pax, NO WONDER! hahhaa. test results out next week, hope we all do well.

lots of photos due for update which includes a month ago, val's bd ! haha. last fri for the first time in my 18 coming 19 years, i celebrated my cousin's 21st! like omg so rare, we werent even that close plus he always bully me when i was young. make me run for the lift, throw stuff into the bathroom when i shower, off my water heater, shoot rubberbands at me but grandma loves me moreee. HAHA. ;D

so finally this dickhead is 21, time to be a mature and responsible adult. it was a simple affair. they picked me up after work, jolene joined us aft tuition as well. off we go to long beach for seafood! the chilli crab, mantou and the seafood youtiao tops all. it was an extremely messy affair. long beach actually provides bib which is rather adorable but very embarrassing to wear one! (they made me wear, but no photos haha!) we hang around east coast park cos nowhere to go and they always cant decide. waited in the car then caked at 0000. the cake was surprisingly good, no pranks! rest of photos on faceboooook. ;D

attachment sucks! the whole week was spend observing my seniors, how they answer the phone, how they book air tickets, hotels and quoting prices. frankly, i cant say it totally sucks, cos i mean we learn alot actually ! and whatever chih hwee teach is fucking nonsense.totally not really useful for ticketing at all. how retarded, but yeah, we have to remb the city codes, airline codes which is a handful already. on top of that, the different packages and itineries the agency offers, the destination information. i admire my seniors actually, they know so much! like where the hotel is located, which road. and mind you, its not just 5 hotels, its like 30 over hotels.

conclusion: females are better multi-taskers, my seniors can make 3 different bookings, talk on the phone and handle a customer infront of them all at one time and their minds can change and adapt really quicky. must be so amazing. but i kept wondering why my seniors are sooooo driven, they work so hard like from 0930, they can go home at 1730, they stay until the shop closes at prolly 2100! hardworking eh, making us look like black sheeps. hhaha.

and i have to stop laughing at my boss, but he's reallyfunny. he talks to us for about an hour about like 2 points, repeat again and again. when he talk to us after lunch, worst, like lullaby cos his voice v v monotonous. wonder how his wife (who works in the same company!) can stand him. hahahaa.

okay, i should end already, enjoy my well-deserved sunday! (i work sat, 10-6, no halfday, no wonder i earn $700, hidden conditions. ;( )

byebye. :(
